Six Emerging Indian Composers chosen for the Inaugural Mumbai Composers Lab

Our final list was made after carefully listening to tall the applicant’s music and watching a variety of short films, trailers, ad films and other musical compositions in order to gain an idea of the abilities of the composers. We also assessed the reasoning as to why they wanted to take part in the Lab and what they felt they could get from being part of it.

Lab Director Andrew T. Mackay commented on the list saying: “We are thrilled that our final list is made up of four male composers and two female. It was a hard choice. There is obviously much talent around which made our decision making even more difficult”
