Ficus Fine Living proudly presents the 3rd edition of ART 35, from Friday, January 12 to Sunday January 14, 2018, from 10:30am to 8:30pm, at the New Great Eastern Mills, Byculla. Greet the Makar Sankranti New Year with joy at this delightful three-day carnival, where you can enjoy many pop-up stalls, retailing a variety of foods, fashion, cosmetics, jewellery and especially art, in spacious surroundings, right between Rani Baug and the Voltas House.
ART 35 is basically an Art Exhibit promoting Paintings, Installations and Sculptures of 35 local Indian artists, under the age of 35. Around this central theme is a fun and spirited ‘Mela’ that you won’t want to miss. Art35 attracts the who’s who of the city, as it is a great opportunity to celebrate life while investing in some fabulous, affordable art: hang a beautiful painting on your wall, enjoy it; years laterreap a reward as the artist becomes famous.
But this extravaganza is not for art lovers only: bring your whole family, seniors, young people and childrenas there is something for everyone: enjoy children’s films and workshops like finger printing for kids. The pottery-on-wheel is sure to delight the kids! Enjoy the scrumptious food at the restaurants,browse and buy fashion and luxurious jewellery at the pop-up stalls. If you want to look into the future: the astrology and tarot stalls will enlighten you. Handwriting analysis will uncover the secrets of your personality. Curated folk and tribal art will interest you.
Enjoy these workshops (on the 12th) like Theatre workshops and “What’s Cooking”. On Saturday (13th) is the Lindy Hop Dancing Social ; while on Sunday there is a Photography Workshop. Art workshops are on all 3 days. “Dreams into Comics” and “Water Colour Drawings” will be a big draw for kids. The weather is just right for you to enjoy this three-day extravaganza of fun and frolic.
